May Meta Plot - Part 1
Who: Mr. Martin and Your Character
What: Mr. Martin has a few questions
When: Monday, May 11, 2020
Where: The streets of NYC
Rating/Warnings: TBD
Notes: This is happening all over the city in the afternoon, wherever your character is currently walking. When your characters talk about their encounter, they’ll learn that everyone’s encounter (he will visit with 8 characters) happened at the same time. How did Mr. Martin manage to do that?! It’s a ~mystery~.
Players are welcome to either thread out the encounter, or handwave. Either way the encounter will be short. If you would prefer to handwave the conversation, feel free to discuss with the mods in the comments.
The weather is chilly and rainy, though the snow from the other day has thankfully melted. The weather doesn’t seem to stop people from going about their lives and the busy streets are bustling as usual.
Mr. Martin is there, standing in the middle of the sidewalk, when your character rounds the corner, they can’t miss him. The streets might be full of pedestrians, but they seem to part around him, giving your character clear path to him.
Mr. Martin looks surly, but the weather only marginally contributed to that mood. He’s mulling about something else entirely.
“Mr./Ms. [Your character’s name],” He addresses your character. “Let’s take a walk.” It’s not a request.

"Okay," he manages faintly, falling into step. "Um.. where are we going?"
no subject
"I recall telling you when we first met that you should stay out of trouble."
no subject
"Yeah," he said, pulling off a bit of a nervous smile. "I think I've done that pretty well."

Aziraphale looked around, hoping some of the other pedestrians might notice something is off (they didn't) and might be in a position to lend a hand (probably not). Were there Bureau agents among them? Would he even notice if there were?
"Right, yes. Wonderful day for a walk, I think," he said, nervously making small talk as he stepped into place beside Mr. Martin. "All that nice--" er, well, not so nice, but it wasn't unpleasant, really, "--...weather. And here I've forgotten my umbrella at home."

He started walking beside Aziraphale.

-ah. Well. She had a suspicion she wasn't getting out of this, and as the rain plinked off her umbrella, her eyes narrowed, grip on it tightening. "Sure. What's on your mind, sir?" Maybe if she was polite and didn't outwardly look like she'd scream (or punch him, but that didn't seem likely to work either), it'd be over faster. Or he'd be nicer. Either or, really.

He started walking beside Lisa.

Anthony looked up from his map and right into the face of that nasty Bureau guy. He couldn't have made a more disgusted startled face if he were at a fun house looking into one of those wacky mirrors.
"Oh, it's you. You're timing is terrible... You do know we're opening an art exhibit here today. There's a ton that needs seeing to."
The Botanical Gardens hadn't yet opened for the day and briefly Anthony found himself wondering how the little rat had actually made his way in here. The gates still ought to be locked. Maybe this was the power of having connections.
"What do you want anyway?"
no subject
"To talk." That's what he wanted.
"I recall telling you when we first met that you should stay out of trouble."
no subject
Though the suggestion that he might not have been sent his heart pattering away in his chest.
"Not even a speeding ticket."

Shrinking away, Clarence considered running. It was always an option if he needed it, but for now he would play along. At least a little.
"... What do you want?"
no subject
"To talk," he said. That was what he wanted.
"I recall telling you when we first met that you should stay out of trouble."
no subject
"Yeah? What am I being blamed for now?" Okay, sure. He fought with one of his guardians last month and stayed away from home for a weekend, but he was making up for that by actually trying to make good grades on his finals wasn't he?

Hands deep in his pockets he went up to the man.
"I've got questions for you too."

He looked up. He wouldn't say he was particularly pleased with running into the man.
He took out his air pods and that's when Mr. Martin spoke - just solidifying that he was there to talk to Anakin.
Anakin stepped forward cautiously, he was so going to run to Ben's right after this... if he was given the chance.
"What do you want?"
no subject
Mr. Martin obviously wasn't interested in pleasantries. He began to lead the way for their walk, but was keeping an eye on Anakin to ensure he would follow.
"I recall telling you when we first met that you should stay out of trouble."
He wasn't wearing what was exactly a frown on his face, but it was a hard expression, quite serious.

She'd be lying if her heart didn't skip a beat or two at the sight of him. A drop of rain slipped down her neck and under her collar, making her shiver.
He wanted to walk- Merde! how long was this going to take? Where was this going to end?
She didn't any way through this but forward. She started walking with Mr. Martin.
"Why did you come?"
