It's a good spot.

Two diagonal picnic tables are parked a within roasting fork distance of the fire pit. It starts as a small, flickering fire, but once everyone's gathered, Elliott takes the opportunity to kick the night off and turn up the heat with the aid of a few magical fireballs.

There's hotdogs and an overlaying grill to cook up Yotsuyu's mix of meat and veggie kebabs. A cooler filled with soda and water bottles sits further away to avoid premature melting. Cookies and marshmallows or s'mores feature as dessert- or dinner, if that's anyone's preference.

For entertainment, Roselia makes a live, musical debut with Lisa as its sole performer. Meanwhile, Elliott does his best to encourage socialization and facilitate any necessary introductions. There's even a volleyball net and ball, and at least one attempt is made to form teams and get a game going.

But for the quieter sorts, dark, ocean waves lap at the shore outside the firelight. The weather is perfectly clear, and the location affords a rare opportunity to enjoy the stars. There might even be a cat playing in the sand somewhere nearby.

Some accouterments (like cutlery or extra chairs) might have been accidentally overlooked.

Lisa is all stupid thoughts and impulses right now, if not the same kind as the ones Elliott is dealing with; as he takes her hand, she grips it tight, callouses on her fingers a reminder that, no matter which of her it is, she's got a lot to prove. "Then I'll bring you a show like you've never seen before. The blue rose will bloom again, in a new garden, and spread its elegance across the world!"

It's not even that she's playing to the audience anymore; she's so keyed up that she's channeling showmanship and drive she didn't really know she had. She's going to be very, very embarrassed tomorrow, while she tries to figure out what she was on. As it is now she's fighting herself, trying very hard not to actually go off the deep end and do something drastic.

His smile goes hopelessly fond. She's on top of the world and so wildly vibrant with it that he can't help but be a little enchanted by the pride and energy bleeding into her voice.

Elliott doesn't know what else to do than let her hold onto him and bask in that same radiance. He thinks if they were anything more than friends, he might kiss her, but he goes scarlet at the thought.

Instead, he tugs her just a step closer with both hands on hers.

"I can't wait to see it," he says, still red-faced but earnest. "You're going to be great."

She doesn't stumble; the sand's too soft for that, and she's keyed up enough that when she feels herself starting to shift, she finishes the move without thinking. But it finally pulls her far enough into Elliott's bubble that she cools off from the trance she's been in, and then promptly warms up again in a different way. Her own face heats up, and a lot of that easy charm and force of personality melts away, leaving more or less normal Lisa in its place, happy but conscious she's gone way too deep. It's probably a visible difference for someone that's seen a few sides of her... like Elliott.

"Yeah," she says simply after a second, much more softly and staying that way, wanting to kick herself for being so lame after everything she'd just said. "It'd make me really happy to show you. Thank you... for believing in me."
