Who: Elliott and OPEN to ALL Different!
What: Beach Partyyy!
When: May 31st, all night
Where: Rockaway Beach
Rating/Warnings: Will update if needed

It's a good spot.

Two diagonal picnic tables are parked a within roasting fork distance of the fire pit. It starts as a small, flickering fire, but once everyone's gathered, Elliott takes the opportunity to kick the night off and turn up the heat with the aid of a few magical fireballs.

There's hotdogs and an overlaying grill to cook up Yotsuyu's mix of meat and veggie kebabs. A cooler filled with soda and water bottles sits further away to avoid premature melting. Cookies and marshmallows or s'mores feature as dessert- or dinner, if that's anyone's preference.

For entertainment, Roselia makes a live, musical debut with Lisa as its sole performer. Meanwhile, Elliott does his best to encourage socialization and facilitate any necessary introductions. There's even a volleyball net and ball, and at least one attempt is made to form teams and get a game going.

But for the quieter sorts, dark, ocean waves lap at the shore outside the firelight. The weather is perfectly clear, and the location affords a rare opportunity to enjoy the stars. There might even be a cat playing in the sand somewhere nearby.

Some accouterments (like cutlery or extra chairs) might have been accidentally overlooked.

...He tried okay.

"Oh no," Bitteblue said. But she was smiling as she walked up. "You destroyed my castle!" She was talking about the castle in her memories. "I wished on a star for that."

Lisa pulls out an evil cackle from. Somewhere. It's not very good. "It's a good thing it's supposed to be a clear night, because you're going to have to do some more wishing," she challenges boldly... before laughing properly. "I only wish I'd gotten something that way so we could laugh about it together."

"I don't think I like my castle, to be honest... In my memories."

Bitterblue flopped into the sand next to Lisa and helped destroy a tower.

"If I wished for a horse, would it come out of the water right now? Like the myths about Poseidon's horses?"

Lisa raises a finger in lecture. "Yes, but unlike your memories, we have general contractors. If you don't like it, we'll pay someone to break parts off and rebuild it to be cooler. There's probably gold in there somewhere to pay for it."

She may have built it too well; she winds up to punch off a spire, and though it does snap off and burst into particles in places, she also shakes her hand out after.

"Well, that depends on the horse, right? Our stuff seems to come from thin air, but they still can't exactly come out of the water if they can't have gotten down there."

"Unfortunately, I don't know where the gold is. They don't tell children these things."

Bittberblue didn't really want to talk too much about her memories. Her memories were just too disturbing. She wished she could have Lisa's. Remembering being in a rock band was just so... charming-seeming.

"I do not even know what I would do with a horse. I live in a one bedroom apartment. I guess I could keep it in the living room?"

If Lisa knew how to share, she would. Although in a way, performing is doing that, right? So LOUDER will be a great way to bolster everyone's moods. Probably. She hopes?

"Eh. We also have metal detectors, but that's neither here nor there. I don't know what you'd do with a horse, either. I don't think you'd be able to keep one in your apartment. Do you think they'd let you rent out a one-car garage and turn it into a stable?"

...it's not a serious question.

"My apartment does not have individual garages for residents' cars." She thought about it. "Maybe I can build a fence around my assigned spot? ... But I do not know what to do with all the manure a horse would make. It is not like taking a dog for a walk."

She shakes her head slowly. "No, you'd be out there with a shovel pretty often. I didn't entirely mean it as a real question, even if it's funny to think about."

Looking out into the sea for a moment, Lisa lets out a long breath. "Man, even if I do find a nice star to wish on, I don't even know what to wish for. Another outfit? An album? Sheet music?" She pauses a beat. "Her phone?"

Bitterblue did laugh. She didn't have time in her life to shovel shit from a horse.

"Sheet music would be wonderful," Bitterblue said a bit dreamily. "I would love to see any sheet music you get. All music is its own language. And it is wonderful to read it as it is to hear it."

Lisa isn't entirely sure what to think from that reaction, but clearly it's something the other woman wants to see. "I'll be sure to share anything I get. I know it exists, I've seen it, I just don't have any and I want to." She pauses, then laughs at herself. "Or, y'know, I could just take it down again myself if I've seen it."

"You could try writing it down from memory," Bitterblue suggested. "And then, when you get it, compare. It would be a good way to see how well these memories stick in our brains." Well, that's what Bitterblue would do, it gives her ideas.

"Oh, hey, that might be fun," Lisa said with a bit of awe in her tone. She'd never have thought of that. "Write it back out and see how it comes out. It'd probably be easier to arrange then, too." She makes a face for a second. "That's a lot of music for each song, though, since there were four instruments. Not impossible, just annoying."
