Who: Elliott and OPEN to ALL Different!
What: Beach Partyyy!
When: May 31st, all night
Where: Rockaway Beach
Rating/Warnings: Will update if needed
It's a good spot.
Two diagonal picnic tables are parked a within roasting fork distance of the fire pit. It starts as a small, flickering fire, but once everyone's gathered, Elliott takes the opportunity to kick the night off and turn up the heat with the aid of a few magical fireballs.
There's hotdogs and an overlaying grill to cook up Yotsuyu's mix of meat and veggie kebabs. A cooler filled with soda and water bottles sits further away to avoid premature melting. Cookies and marshmallows or s'mores feature as dessert- or dinner, if that's anyone's preference.
For entertainment, Roselia makes a live, musical debut with Lisa as its sole performer. Meanwhile, Elliott does his best to encourage socialization and facilitate any necessary introductions. There's even a volleyball net and ball, and at least one attempt is made to form teams and get a game going.
But for the quieter sorts, dark, ocean waves lap at the shore outside the firelight. The weather is perfectly clear, and the location affords a rare opportunity to enjoy the stars. There might even be a cat playing in the sand somewhere nearby.
Some accouterments (like cutlery or extra chairs) might have been accidentally overlooked.
...He tried okay.

...He tried okay.

He was a good deal older than he and Anthony couldn't say he had everything figured out. His drive had been waffling of late. Things were just all too confusing.
"Guess you past self was a singer who made it big with that song?"

"Ah, you were in a band."
This explained so very much!
"I think you did alright solo. What... what was the name of the band? Do you remember? I'm just wondering if I've ever heard of them."

As he stood there another thought came to mind, something brilliant but potentially foolhardy as he hated research.
"You have thought about looking them up? I mean, seems to me if these really are past life memories... we might be able to read the history of that band."
no subject
"But anyway, no, I tried all that when I first started getting memories back. Can't find the other me, can't find Roselia, can't find my ridiculously talented singer or guitarist. Just memories of what I have to be better than."

"Never got into Japanese music. I don't know much about it at all."
Anthony was as certain it would have been difficult to find information on Japanese artists in an American library as it was to make a good first impression on poor Fell. His own had been... ooo, terrible! Accusing the guy of being a hitman had not been the most brilliant move on his part. Anthony could look back on that whole mess fondly now, with one of those silly love-sick smiles threatening to break free and take over at the merest mention of the guy's name.
"You might actually have to go to Japan to find out more about them."

Let alone that she needs to figure out if she's going to actually put some effort into learning the bass, because that's going to be a whole different kettle of fish.
"It might be fun to go to Japan for research, but it'd be rough to learn enough to be conversational, and the first time I try to sing everything's going to go sideways. If I do it at all, it's going to need more research, more forethought, and time. I don't really have the resources for any of those things right now." It's said with some disappointment, but really, she can handle waiting some. After all- "I'm too worried about certain things here, anyway. I can focus on that later."

"What the Bureau? I think all government types are like them, they try to look big and imposing, twist your arm now and then just to see if you'll sequel on anyone... I wouldn't let them stop you."

She's fairly easy to read here, but then, it's not like she hasn't been fairly easy to read on that specific topic for a while.

Anthony wasn't so silly as to believe that was actually possible however and he looked to the sky as one reason why.
"Satellites. I wouldn't be surprised if the network ran on some sort of secret Government satellite system."
But this brief aside spoken he was soon looking back at the girl and scuffing up a small sandcastle with his feet as he swayed in place.
"Anyway, you do you, whatever that is. I only really wanted to say your performance was fun to listen to."
no subject
But she nods at the reversal from the topic, grinning. "Thanks, seriously. It felt really strange at the time, so it's reassuring that someone thought it looked good from the outside. Or, well." She grins wider, throwing a peace sign. "Thanks for your support!"
