He blinked at the new book. One he hadn't read. He didn't even know the author. He couldn't help but be charmed and touched by the gift. But maybe it was leftover from feelings that had blossomed at the table. It was a if somehow Fell inspired love wherever he went.

"Hey, calm down. Look at me. It's fine, I promise. Fell stood up for you. He loves you that much. And Aunt Evie loves him for it." A smile. "When I left they were holding hands." Fell was never going to leave this family alive, but he knew what he was getting into.
