Who: Crowley and OPEN
What: Feb. Goings On
When: February 9 - 13 - He will be out on the 14th don't wait up
Where: Around New York
Warnings:
Sweethearts
No.
No matter how many times Fell, or Ellie, or... Alec, was that really his style(?), set out those horrible chalky sweets he wasn't going to eat any of them. Instead he set about leaving any of the boxes he found out for other people.
Old lady passing by – He dropped one into her purse.
Co-worker he was yelling at for dropping an expensive orchid – He got a bonus box of hearts confusing the 'be careful' message.
Some one walking by with a boring looking cupcake? – He would suggest decorating it with some hearts.
Crying kid on the sidewalk? – Here have some candy... And don't tell your mum who gave it to you. This is New York and he wasn't up for being questioned by a suspicious cop.
Sour tea he was sharing with a friend? – Well a few hearts dropped into the brew would sweeten it up.
So while Anthony wasn't partaking in any himself he could be a likely catalyst for your own character to have a few.
Hunting for Gangsters - Failed
Anthony had first heard of the place in that movie, the Wolf of Wall Street, but apparently it had once been a classic mob hangout hosting such influential villains as Lucky Luciano and John Gotti. Rao's seemed the perfect place one might fall in with the 'wrong sort' of crowd... And maybe it would have been fifty years ago. Today it was just a nice Italian restaurant where Anthony had himself a Skillet Lasagna and picked up a pasta gift basket for Fell.
It included two aprons, three 24 oz. jars of Rao’s Homemade Sauce (Marinara, Tomato Basil, and Arrabbiata) and two 16 oz. Spaghettis so you could make a delicious Rao’s Homemade meal together anytime.
It was Love at first bite! Or so it was claimed. He would put that to the test later.
His next stop on his gangster hunt was Robert's Lounge. It was supposed to be the most happening mobster bar in the entire city... But now it was the back parking lot of a run down looking building. Another bust.
The Triangle Social Club, the last great mobster social club, was now the Sullivan Street Tea & Spice Company. Nothing to see here but he did end up buying a few brands of exotic tea flavors, a few spicy ones he thought Fell would care for, some of the blander variety for Alec, and a few of the sweeter ones for Ellie.
He would end up sitting on a bench in the middle of Central Park with his bag of goodies by his side and a dejected frown that even feeding the ducks couldn't cure. His 'find the bad guys' outing had turned into nothing more than a shopping trip!
Upcoming Valentine's Day Woes
Anthony stared long and hard at the card sitting on the shelf of his local food and such store. Be an Angel, Say you are mine.
Was that too much? Too vintage? Too quick? Slow as Hell.... Was a card even appropriate or should he get sappy and try to write something?
What does one do on your first Valentine's Day with a literal angel!!
As Anthony stood there overthinking things he was clearly open to suggestions.

"It's close?"
no subject
"God. I'd honestly be tempted, if he had any sense of humor at all."
no subject
It didn't sound like there was to him but humans could surprise you! His head tilted as the card was held out for her consideration.
"Send it anyway. Either it makes the break up set in cement or he has a good laugh."
no subject
"Well... Maybe I could send it anonymously."
no subject
He certainly wasn't going to twist her arm over it. Anthony just sank back into the aisle of cards with an evil laugh.
"I think it's a pretty damn funny idea!"
no subject
She took the card and looked it over carefully before dropping it in her basket.
"I'll get it just in case. But if I send it and it blows up in my face, I'm pinning the entire thing on you."
no subject
"It comes with the territory, people are always blaming demons for things."
And in this case that would have been entirely justified as it had been his idea. Worth it though to annoy an ex!
no subject
"You're a demon. Is that so."
no subject
"All I need now is some chocolate, a few flowers, and I will make for one Hell of a boyfriend."
no subject
Harleen knew how to play the romance game, although her callous regard to her own relationships might throw some doubt on that.
no subject
So it went without saying that Russel Stover just wasn't going to cut it.
"I've got a handcrafted box on preorder down at the Chocolate Room."
no subject
"Damn, you really are one hell of a boyfriend. Are you taking him out to a restaurant or staying in? Because I know this recipe for cocoa-rubbed lamb with hazelnut gremolata that I think is at least half the reason I got proposed to in the first place."
no subject
Proposed to...
He felt lightheaded for a moment and teetered in place. I mean, Fell and he... together forever... There was something highly appealing in that but there had been that whole proposing to a lady only a year ago and then breaking if off with her right after his memories of Aziraphale had begun to return, the family getting all excited and then disappointed and upset, the sister who still brought up Grace's name every time they got together for anything, and Fell...
How would he even take to the idea? He hadn't agreed to move in together though he visited often enough he might as well have.
"I... m'not sure we are to the whole cocoa-rubbed lamb with hazelnut gremolata stage yet. I got a pasta? It's about all I know how to cook anyway."
He hesitated, fidgeting around for something to make this seem less awkward as it suddenly did feel quite awkward indeed to him.
"Lamb and hazelnuts, if that earned you a proposal how come you are out here looking at break up cards?"
no subject
"There was this... Something happened, and when I needed him to be there for me he just... Wasn't. Didn't believe me. Wouldn't even let me talk about it."
She put the card back on the rack and crossed her arms tightly against herself.
"And I guess it made me realize that I was with him mostly because getting married to a nice guy from a good family is what I'm supposed to do, and that when he asked me I couldn't think of a good reason to say no so I said yes."
no subject
"Better off without him."
It was what people said in such situations and while true, no one should ever have to marry some one they didn't love just to do what they were supposed to do, it always felt a touch hollow some how. Words never really felt like enough.

She raised the bottle in a mock toast with a smirk. "Cheers to living the dream."
no subject
"You don't have to, unless its too raw... The best revenge would be heading out on a date not couch surfing at the parent's place."

He said as if he had any idea how to actually find any other demons. For all Anthony knew he was the only one out there with any memories of having once been one. But... he did know a few single guys and one name in particular floated to mind.
"But I do have a cousin. Looks just like me, scruffier... Alec."
no subject
"And your cousin probably would not want to be set up with a stranger you found at Duane Reade looking for a break up card."
no subject
He merely shrugged. Too soon, too meddlesome, he had heard such things before.
"But if you would rather spend the day getting drunk in your parent's basement, that's up to you."
no subject
no subject
That last bit about getting away from family might really appeal to Alec after this. But who knows, maybe it would work out.
"Got a cell? If you give me your number I will get you two in touch with each other."
no subject
She gave him her phone number and immediately started the countdown to regret.
no subject
"One minute... There, asked him. He would love to meet you."
This was a lie. By the time Anthony was through with Alec he would show up for dinner but being a persnickety person Alec's arm would need to be twisted a bit first. It was for his own good... however reluctant he was surely the pair of them would have fun at dinner!
"So 8pm at Antonio's? You know where that is? Hang on I'll text you the map and Alec's number."
With another quick text both of these things arrived on her phone.
