Welcome to a new universe, everyone.

Please use this as a Catch All Log Event post for all your winter adventuring needs. You may use the link above to remember all the various things you can do in this new space. But below, we've listed a summary

1. Visit the Ice Palace

• The Ice Palace has gardens with ice and snow sculptures
• There is also the ice maze to have fun in.
• The Ballroom
• Fine dining

2. The outdoor ice rink

Spend a day skating the whole way around, there are skate rentals and food all the way around the rink.

3. Visit the Ski Lodge

• For skiing and snowshoeing
• Rent a room for a night or week, or whatever
• There's the dining room for a good warm meal
• The saunas
• The hotsprings

4. Explore the Mountains and Forests

• Go for a walk
• Take note of the unique plants (get high?)
• Take a picture of the unique animals
• Run into a wild Energy Burst

5. Visit the town

• Go shopping!
• Go for a sleigh ride
• Remember, there's a big trolley pulled by a team of reindeer that is essentially a bar on wheels
• Visit the reindeer stables
• Run into/capture some mischievous Energy Bursts

6. Generally marvel at the magic in this place

She couldn't help but laugh. "It's fun to try new things, right? And if there's ever a time to do it, it's on vacation in another world, where the odds of falling on your face doing any of it making it back to Facebook is just about zero~" She definitely expected not to make it through such an adventure without snow in her hair, at least.

"Oh, no, no, I'm okay though," Lisa assured Martin quickly after he offered a pass to the gym. "Save those for people that need them! Besides, I get a lot of running around in year-round, y'know? The subway and the bus system are good, but I still have to hoof it when I'm heading to a gig."

Her comment about social media humiliation earned her a hearty laugh. "You've got a very valid point, there. I know there are a few things I'm looking forward to trying here that I won't be upset about if they don't go well."

His plans for the trap at the Ice Palace weren't quite complete yet - he was looking forward to the solitude of his rented cabin to put the finishing touches on, away from prying eyes. If he could prove that he could do something even close to what his memories were starting to suggest and come away unscathed ... he wasn't sure what it could mean. But more important to Martin than if he could pull off a plan was how he would feel during and after: if he was truly capable of it in this life.

He nodded a few times more than necessary. "Back when I was younger, there wasn't any Facebook, but we still had the rumor mill. It was just in person instead of digital. Sometimes I wonder which of the two does more damage."

She grinned back at him. "That's more or less it, yeah. I hope all of the things you're going to try go well." Not that she knew the depth of what that list entailed, but hey, Martin's a nice guy, right?

Lisa's expression turned a little more serious after a moment though. "In person, there's the limitation that the rumor mill can really only get so far before it just runs out of steam. Online... you can spread things a lot further. If you're not happy with a sandwich you can make sure everything in a three-state area knows it."

So far, he was... and he was hoping it could remain that way. He wasn't sure what to think of the other self that was beginning to emerge from those memories: if anything, he was hesitant to embrace it the way Lisa had done with her own.

"That's true, I suppose. But on the other hand ... things on the internet come and go so quickly that people forget about them with relative ease. Things that happen in person tend to stick a bit more, don't you think?"

If asked, Lisa would admit her philosophy probably wasn't for everyone anyway, so she certainly didn't blame anyone for being hesitant to follow her example. Never mind that her other was a special case among the Different too...

"That's true... but then again, the internet has a long memory if anyone really wants to look something up," she answered with a small grimace. "So there's that. And heaven forbid someone records a confrontation in person and puts that on the internet." She trailed off after that, looking at the more-or-less-an-apple she'd absently purchased as if it held the answers to life's questions, as she turned it over in her hand.
