Emberto might notice someone else at one of those windows: a certain brunette, end of her scarf waving in the wind as she looked at another scarf with a critical eye. "It's like shopping the world's most exclusive catalog," Lisa murmured, before she realized she wasn't alone from the reflection in the glass, looked up, and grinned at him. "There's something to be said for being able to look at a physical thing instead of a webpage, yeah?"

Emberto, bundled up in stylish winter gear, grinned right back. "Definitely," he said. "Even if you don't buy anything, it's always fun. Not to mention, being able to compare sizes saves a great deal on return shipping costs."

"That absolutely helps," Lisa agreed sagely. "Not that I ever need more of an excuse to try things on, of course. I'm glad their shops have sensible clothing - I was half expecting the usual tourist-trap T-shirt store," she admitted, with a bit of a sheepish look.

Emberto pressed a hand to his chest in mock shock. "Perish the thought, darling," he said. "This is a much higher class of tourist trap. They have standards, you know." He gave her a wink and a grin. There was no denying that the place they'd found themselves in was extremely touristy, but it clearly catered to a somewhat classier clientele than some.

"Want to go inside for a bit? Just long enough to take a look around and maybe get warm."

"Standards, you say," Lisa drawled with a certain amount of (manufactured) disbelief. "What are those, exactly? Are they some new health food? I don't think I've heard of them." But she couldn't hide her grin.

"Sure, though, I'd be up for poking our heads in. Maybe they'll have something exciting!" She didn't comment on warming up; she kind of took it as a given, not that she was complaining. She still wasn't quite used to New York winters, let alone exotic foreign ski resort winters.

"Then in we go!", Emberto said. He entirely agreed with her about winter weather and any chance to avoid it for a bit was a good one. Especially when it came with the bonus of shopping.

A little bell above the door jingled as they headed inside. Emberto tucked his gloves into his pockets as he glanced around at the displays. "That's a bit better. So, anything in particular you want to look at first?" The shop seemed to be about 75% clothing and accessories, though there were a number of displays of other things as well.

Lisa was quick to duck in behind Emberto, feeling the chill just a little bit. For a second she shook from side to side, swiveling like she expected the small amount of snow in her hair to slide off, but it was neither effective nor something she kept trying. Instead she just let out a breath and smiled. "Oh, I don't know... I really don't need another scarf, but that never really stops me from looking. I'm really good with anything, though," she added. "It's fun to look either way. Do you see anything interesting?"

Emberto scanned the shop floor with an experienced eye, which soon landed on a display of jewelry and trinkets a bit farther in. "Let's take a look over there, shall we?", he said. "Even if we don't find anything new to wear, one can never have enough accessories. And there seem to be some other souvenirs in that general area as well."

"Hey, that sounds good to me," Lisa agreed easily. "Shiny stuff is always good. And I can take something home for my roommate, to thank her for putting up with me getting increasingly hard to deal with over the last year. Christmas is a great excuse, yeah?" Even as they were getting close she'd started to look at the displays. Earrings? Maybe too personal. Necklace? Too gaudy, perhaps. Sca- no, no scarves, it'd turn into a running joke and she doesn't need any more of those! Or hey, maybe something from this faraway land... that she'd need to explain how she got to... ugh, gifting was hard.
