Welcome to a new universe, everyone.

Please use this as a Catch All Log Event post for all your winter adventuring needs. You may use the link above to remember all the various things you can do in this new space. But below, we've listed a summary

1. Visit the Ice Palace

• The Ice Palace has gardens with ice and snow sculptures
• There is also the ice maze to have fun in.
• The Ballroom
• Fine dining

2. The outdoor ice rink

Spend a day skating the whole way around, there are skate rentals and food all the way around the rink.

3. Visit the Ski Lodge

• For skiing and snowshoeing
• Rent a room for a night or week, or whatever
• There's the dining room for a good warm meal
• The saunas
• The hotsprings

4. Explore the Mountains and Forests

• Go for a walk
• Take note of the unique plants (get high?)
• Take a picture of the unique animals
• Run into a wild Energy Burst

5. Visit the town

• Go shopping!
• Go for a sleigh ride
• Remember, there's a big trolley pulled by a team of reindeer that is essentially a bar on wheels
• Visit the reindeer stables
• Run into/capture some mischievous Energy Bursts

6. Generally marvel at the magic in this place

Ben was a sore point for Anakin, though it wasn't because of Anakin's most recent memories. It was because when Anakin needed someone to talk to and help him process those memories, Ben turned him away.

But that wasn't Martin's fault. And because Martin didn't bring up Ben, Anakin's good mood was intact.

"Sounds fun. Skiing was... fun, when I finally figured out how to go fast. You know, I think I am going to spend the rest of the year here."

"Leave it to you to figure out how to engineer the skiing process," Martin chuckled, starting to cut up his steak. "If you like it here, why not? I've decided to rent a little cabin for a few days, myself. It's nice to have something that's a break, and not ... an excuse for me to run around with my medical bag making sure everyone's in one piece."

Anakin blinked. "Do you really have a ... medical bag like old timey doctors?" Old timey, from Anakin's point of view, being the 50s because he was sure that's what doctors in the 50s had.

"I admit, it's a bit old-fashioned, but ... some of my cardiovascular patients are too fragile to leave home hospice, so I had to have something portable. It just also turns out to be useful when strange things happen." He winked, saluting Anakin with his steak knife.

"That being said, I hope that sort of thing doesn't become a habit."

Anakin snorted before shoveling a spoon full of stew, from another universe, into his mouth.

"How long have you been afflicted with memories of another life?" he asked, amused.

Martin chuckled as he started to carve up his steak. "Oh, since around the summer. ... I haven't been back to that place, yet, you know. The one where you could trade water for anything. That was ... certainly one hell of a welcome to the ranks."

Anakin snorted. "The most of us haven't been around that much longer than you have. You might want to just carry it around like a first-aid kit wherever you go now. Just because," Anakin pointed all around them with his spoon. "Maybe not other universes, but weird shit happens a lot."

"You've got a very fine point, my boy," he admitted, pausing for a moment to enjoy a bite of his dinner. As soon as he'd swallowed, he continued: "Maybe I should look into converting it to a backpack, or one of those messenger bags... Something a little more portable."

He cast his gaze out the window toward the slopes, where the lights were beginning to come on for the night skiiers: energy globes flaring to life. "In some circumstances, it's best to have my hands free."

"I'm all in favor of a backpack," Anakin said. He was rarely seen without his backpack. In fact, his was currently at his feet.

"Best way to carry around candy, or other important things, like doctor things." He didn't know exactly what Martin carried around in his bag. A stethoscope? Probably syringes with stuff in them?

Martin glanced down at Anakin's backpack and nudged it with his toe, chuckling. "Is that what's in there, then. I wondered. No on-the-go engineering gear?" It was half a joke, and half an honest question. It seemed to him like being able to repair things was a good mobile skill, too.

"Honestly, the bag is mostly for bandages and first aid. For cardiothoracics I really just need my laryngoscope and my digital stethoscope, and a few medications in case of emergencies."
