Unfortunately, throwing snowballs at something that is, itself, dealing in snow does not have a very heavy effect. Even more unfortunately, it does get the energy burst's attention, and another swirl of snow heads Casimir's way, as the snowball splats almost ineffectively against the side of a building.

Martin manages to get to his feet, but the wind picks up the bundle of postcards he'd bought to fill out and sends them dancing. "... I appreciate the effort, but I don't know if that's exactly going to work ..."

Yikes! Casimir quickly runs away from the snow. No thank you! He's not here to get wet. And...

The wind-thing decides to pick up the postcards. Whoops. Is Casimir going to be blamed for that later?

"Yea... I think I'm slowly figuring that out. Got it off you, though."

For now, at least. Which was at least the plan. He agitatedly watches what this energy burst being is planning to do next.

"Do you think a stick would be sufficient?"

"I don't know, I've never seen anything like it before," Martin blurts as he's chasing after his postcards. Casimir doesn't need to worry about being blamed, Martin knows he didn't have a damned thing to do with it - he's just agitated in general. "I guess this is what we've got to deal with this time. Should have known this portal was too good to be true."

Casimir blinks, bewildered.

"What do you mean by this time? Does this portal thing happen a lot or something?"

Yea... he's not helping you with your postcards. Sorry, Martin.

He does, however, busy himself with trying to break a branch off a nearby shrub. It takes some effort, but with a crack, it finally comes loose. Casimir readies it with both hands.

"Hey, try luring it over here."

It's okay, he's dropped his share of briefcases and folders in his lifetime. The postcards are easy enough to recapture, and then holds the sheaf up in his hands as if holding up a bag of treats for a pet.

"Want these?" He says with a slightly manic grin. The whirlwind turns back toward him, and Martin does a bait and switch, tossing one of the boxes of crackers he bought with his groceries toward Casimir and his waiting weapon. Thankfully, the creature takes the bait. As it moves, Martin calls over the whistling gale, "I'll fill you in in a minute-- heads up!"
