Who: Anakin and Ben
What: Having lunch, learning deep truths
When: Backdated to noon, Wednesday April 1
Where: At a park
Rating/Warnings: Probably low

The early spring air was still a bit sharp, but the shining noon sun was worth seeing. It gave Anakin hope that summer was coming.

He was having lunch with Ben today. They sat on a park bench, hotdogs from a stand just a few yards away.

“You know, I didn’t think you’d be the type to enjoy junk food like this.”

The sun feels good, even if the air still has a bit of a bite to it. His jacket can handle the bite well enough.

He laughs a little at Anakin's remark, keeping one hot dog in his hand and the other set carefully beside him on the bench, because you bet he's having more than one. "Because skating?" he asked. That was fair. "I actually love junk food. I'll be eating lettuce and carrots for dinner now, but worth it."

"I like the salty, high fat kind more than sugar. Nachos. I love nachos." He hsn't noticed he's being unusually honest, since this is the kind of thing he'd provide without any hesitation, anyway, but the follow-up--

That he didn't hesitate there did give him pause. "What about you? What kind of candy?"

That was--

That was a much more comprehensive answer than he was prepared for and he stared at Anakin, in confusion and with some concern.

"...are you all right...?"

"You probably should have said something about the hand hurting in cold. There isn't much I can do about it, but I might have managed to make ice skating a little less terrible for you." No pause though he looks alarmed at the rush of words, and more alarmed as they go on. "No, I don't know. I don't think I am. I let you fall and I made you uncomfortable. That's not being a good friend!"
