"Elliott is my son," Yotsuyu says, simply. Her tone, however, is quite dry, though somewhat amused. Not that they look anything like each other, she and Elliott, but they have similar tones of politeness, at the very least.

"If the money is there, they will keep him as long as you need. And no harm will be done if your guardians say no. He will still have care taken of him here, and he will still be taken care of because he will remain here until you pick him up with blessing, or until someone else does."

Though truly, Yotsuyu hoped this boy would be able to take the fellow home. The cat seemed thrilled enough already, and she'd seen him before--mostly an orange lump. The fact that this young man had the cat's attention was heartening to her, at the least.
