And then Yotsuyu gave a shrug. "That is why I said reserve the cat, so you might ask your parents. But the rescue money, and I suspect you may not have enough. If your folks say yes, where is the harm? For myself, I would rather he have a good and loving home--which he would clearly have with you if they permit it--than go somewhere he might end up on the street again. It is money I would be donating to this rescue either way. I see no harm in it if it also makes someone happy."

Her parents never would have allowed her a pet. Even if it was spitting in the eye of their memory, well. Yotsuyu was all for it!
